Knitting Up A Storm!

Sunday, October 23, 2005

I am busy as a bee this week. Work is really crazy now with no end in site. Due to this fact, I might not be able to post every day. We will see.

I really haven't been knitting as the drop spinning I've been doing has taken up all my spare time. It is quite addictive. I have spun three little skeins so far. When Chris comes home I will take pictures of them.

I will take pictures of Chris' socks I just finished and the felted purse with bamboo handles. Oh yeah, I started a secret Christmas present for a family member. One of four pieces is completed. Well, I guess I have been knitting.

Saturday was an interesting day. I went to Gemini Fibres for a Beginners Spinning Class. They lent me a wheel for the class. It was fun. I need to get my antique wheel working or get a new one and practice, practice, practice! Man, it is not as easy as it looks. But I am sure I will get the hang of it, one day.

I did buy a bag of orange and a bag of raspberry colour roving, and a braid thing of variegated roving made by fleece artist. I am hoping if I drop spin the orange and raspberry nicely, I can ply them together. The colours would look so rich together.

Well that is the update. Have a good one.
